Replacement Carburetor - LT31

Hi there,


We have a 1980 petrol/LPG VW LT31 and we're looking for a replacement carburetor. If possible we'd like to replace ours with a modern alternative as we've been told the bakerlite plates have worn and it would be better to update the whole part. Does anyone have any advice on this or any specific models of modern carburetor that we could try and source?

There were two used, so you will need to identify which you have; 1B1 or 35PDSIT, I think are the ones.

You could look into four individual carburettors, similar to most motorcycles; though that would take some extra work.

Porsche 924 use the same engine although tuned differently.

There was a Weber kit though I cannot recall the designation.
